Paul Eddon’s charter boat trot on was the first 105 offshore vessel to be brought to Whitby. In more recent times many other skippers at Whitby have seen the huge appeal of these super fast boats and followed suite.
Trot On is licensed to carry 10 anglers for wreck, reef and uptide fishing from Whitby. The boat cruises easily at 20 knots giving you more time fishing and less time steaming to the distant fishing grounds.
Trot On replaced Paul Eddon’s old boat “The Heather Of Burnham”. With its 430 horse power engine the boat cruses easily at 20 knots and has a top speed in excess of 25 knots.
The large deck space of the offshore 105 allows 10 anglers to fish comfortably with plenty of room on board for fish boxes and the anglers tackle bags + boxes.
Trot on specialises in wreck and reef fishing as well as winter uptiding. In 2010 skipper Paul Eddon guided Paul Danby to a spring festival win with a pollack just short of 15 pounds. Trot on’s catches in 2010 included cod to well over 20lbs and many pollack well into double figures.
As well as his passion for cod fishing, skipper Paul also loves to try diverse methods for various species available from the local wrecks, Paul is a self confessed Pollack addict and loves to fish the wrecks with light tackle and jellyworm tactics.
