Paul Danby Recieves £1000 Cash From Trot On Skipper Paul Eddon
Yesterday Paul Danby received his winners prize of £1000 in cash for his first place in the Whitby charter skippers spring angling festival with a Pollock of 12lb 4.5oz
his skipper Paul Eddon who runs Trot On charters was there to present the prize money, Paul Danby is a regular to Whitby and also a keen coarse match fisherman I found out over a pint before the presentation, and when I asked him what plans he had for the cash he told me he had recently been made redundant so the cash was going to help no end, after the presentation he drifted off to the local tackle shops for a tackle treat an angler through and through well done Paul.
All the Whitby charter skippers have asked me to express there thanks and gratitude to our honorary president and main sponsor of the spring and summer festival and also the winter up-tide festival Glenn Stocks without his generosity some of these festivals could not take place so a really big thank you Glenn from all the skippers for your continued commitment to our association and Whitby town in general
Don’t forget to book your summer festival places early 19th June – 11th July
